Hey
change of plans for the puente...... i need a beach, not amazingly busy, not in a shit hole touristy place like acapulco, relativly close to mexico city.... preferably with sand, need to go by bus.
any ideas????? was thinking boca chica from a recommendation, but you guys have any more?? |

I like Zihuatanejo a lot (about 8 hours from DF- Terminal poniente)... services but not overly touristy (thats pushed over to Ixtapa). If you want something more isolated, then go to Troncones over from Zihua... havent heard of any more shark attacks there in the last few months!!! ja ja ja |

It's a bit of a ride from DF, but ther's Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, and the beaches in and around it. About a 12 hour ride from here though.
Veracruz is the closest for the other side of the country.
If you do head towards Acapulco, there is good beach and less tourism on either side of the city, such as barra Vieja and barra de Coyuca. |
