How would I go about doing this?
Would I have to go from Shinjuku to Tokyo station, then get on the Narita Express? Or could I take the train direct from Shinjuku?
Thanks!

You can take the Narita Express direct from Shinjuku station. No problems. Just go to the midori no mado guchi and get your ticket. Easy! |

They run less often from Shinjuku than from Tokyo though. If you are looking at a long wait or having to go to the airport really early, you might want to take the Chuo line to Tokyo and changing to the Narita Express (make sure you buy your N'EX ticket in advance). |

Khyron,
I only took a quick glance, but the site you link to seems to be for using the Chuo and Keisei lines to go from Shinjuku to Narita. Maybe if I drilled down further, there would be Narita Express info. --don't know.
Sagan,
If you're traveling with any amount of baggage, you'll want to minimize train transfers and all the attendant forced marches from platform to platform with luggage in tow. Stick with the Narita Express from Shinjuku to the airport. Or, take the Limousine Bus, which departs from Shinjuku Station in frequent intervals (roughly every 15 minutes). You can both buy your ticket and board the bus around the corner from the Keio Department store (half way down towards the Lumine Department store --just ask anyone where to find the Limousine Bus. It's slightly cheaper and departs far more frequently than the train (NRT Xpress). The bus actually has a few departures from other major stations in Tokyo, too. (Ikebukuro, Chofu --to name a few.) But by far, the most are from Shinjuku. Ordinarily, you won't need a reservation, but if you want to be sure, you can phone in a reservation, make one online (I "think"), or just drop by the ticket window a day early (or a few hours earlier on the day) pre-purchase a ticket. |

Thanks everyone for the help! I think I'm going to take the Keio highwaybus.

I'll just add, whichever option you choose, it would be worth checking the time table in advance and getting your ticket in advance, especially if you're planning to go around Christmas time.
Which station are you actually coming from? |

My closest station is actually in Tama-City. The closest major station is Shinjuku. It's easier for me to take the bus out: one leaves from my local station.
I'll be leaving really early in the morning, and I'm buying my ticket tomorrow.
Thanks everyone! |

In that case, yes you're definitely better off with the bus!
Have a good trip! |
