Can anyone tell me what are typical language school working hours in Thailand?

Starting at what time 3PM, 4Pm, 5PM?

Because in say Taiwan classes often start as early as 1PM since children first through third grade only go to school from 8-12 in the morning.

I guess it depends on the kind of class you are teaching (adult, kids, private, etc) and no school are the same anyway but most classes will start something around 2 or 3 pm during the week for 6-12 years old and later for teenagers or adults. You can have 4-5 years old kids in the morning too. On weekends you start around 9 am and most school will ask you to work on both saturdays and sundays. And to make a decent living you will probably have to teach more than the usual 25 hours a week. Think around 32-35.

Hope it can help you. However, my advice would be to avoid language school and try to find a private high school. Especially if you plan on living in Bangkok.

Well I am thinking about doing this Master's program about Thailand. Just out of interest not because I think it will get me anywhere in life.

Then I can only work in the afternoon/evening.

I guess it depends on how much money you need. You can work part-time in a language school, but since the salary isn't high maybe it will be hard to make ends meet. If you have some money save it will be easier. You can post your cv on Ajarn.com explaining your situation and see what happens.

Best of luck

I plan to save some money while I am here in Taiwan. I would make sure I have the money saved for three semesters of tuition.

This is pretty much what I have as well.

RE: hours... it totally depends. I think most of the teachers here have a pretty set schedule, classes starting anywhere between 3-6 and going until 9pm. But a few of my students have a rotating schedule at work, so guess what that means for me? Some days my first class is at 10am, and some days it's 2pm, some days it's 6:30pm. My inconsistant schedule is the biggest annoyance for me.
