Hi There,

I worked for Interac in Yokohama from 2004-2007 and just had a book published about my teaching experiences.

If you're looking for a cheap ($11) view in on teaching in public schools before you take the plunge, you could do worse.

Best Wishes,

Bob Gaulke

Laughing

About half the books on that list are about sex. Is your book in the same vein?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

There are some adult situations alluded to in the book, but nothing beyond what's seen in a PG-13 film. Certainly a lot cleaner than what's in your average manga. The focus of the book is squarely on working as an AET, with an odd self-deprecating joke thrown in every page or so.

Best Regards,

Bob Gaulke

I wrote a manuscript last year about JHS teaching, half survival guide, half activities bank. No publishers are biting yet, maybe I'll try yours!

Best of luck with it!

...hmmm maybe, but if someone is offended by PG-13 sexual allusions, then there would be a lot of things in Japan to bristle against their sensibilities on a daily basis, wouldn't you agree?

I thought he meant your book sounded not risque (and hence interesting) enough, so he'll be spending his money on something 18 rated instead, such as
Quote:
Susannah Breslin's poignantly provocative short stories of mannequin fetishism, midget love, and pornographers gone wild
which is the book below yours in that list.

Sarah Breslin's book's probably a better bet for kicks, although my publisher's based in Portland, OR, where attractiveness comes a distant second to beerliness.

Personally, I'd rate a walk through Yokohama's subway station as a much greater thrill than an adult show on Sandy Blvd in Portland Smile.
