Have been offered positions in Kamatori, and toke. Want to know if anyone has lived near these, or could just give me info about chiba and what living there is like. Can't find much on the web other than it's about an hour to tokyo and disneyland is there. Also wondering what cost of living is like, and night life, not to into constantly going to tokyo to go to a club or have some fun in a bar. |

Chiba city itself is great IMO, good bars, good restaurants. Rent isn't too bad at all from what I've seen from ads. I live in Kisarazu and do a fair number of all-nighters in Chiba. |

I used to live in Tsuga (two stops from Chiba station on the Narita line) and work in Goi. Berzerker would have passed through Goi many times on his way out from Kisarazu... ahh, memories.
Anyway, I also think Chiba city is good. There's plenty to do there and it's not that far from Tokyo if you feel like heading in to the big city. You're close to Soga station, where you can change for the Keiyo line - a nice way to get in to Tokyo (usually a lot less busy that the Chuo line) and very close to Disneyland if you're into that sort of thing. |

cool. I was really worried there wouldn't be much to do there, but you guys have alleviated some of those fears. Is food and everything cheaper there than tokyo? Also bars, are they cheaper, I've heard average is around 5 usd for local beer around tokyo in bars? |
