I'm keen to develop my skills in a particular area of EFL teaching. In terms of getting work (and making the most money), which would be the best area of specialism for a teacher thinking about coming to Spain: Business English or exam classes (particularly IELTS)? |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think IELTS is almost unheard of here. Most Spanish students are interested in the EOI (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas) certificates. |

I'm not an expert on IELTS in Spain (I do it in HK), but I know that it goes on in some places. I met a guy who does IELTS in Barcelona over the summer, and it pays well by Spanish standards. |

You cannot learn to teach Business English on a 1 month course. You only become a good Business English teacher when you've actually run companies and experienced all aspects of business. Don't expect to get Business Classes in Madrid on the basis of a piece of paper, it's experience that will determine whether you make 1200 or 8000 a month and there's no third way. |
