Air Arabia e-ticket purchased with credit card number (but no card)???

Have you ever purchased an e-ticket on Air Arabia's website (specifically from Istanbul-Dubai) and read the fine print that says any credit card used to purchase tickets online must be made visible at check-in. This is a problem for me because I use a family credit card, and just use the number to buy plane tickets online. No other airlines has ever asked to see the physical card I use to purchase tickets. My question is will a photocopy of the card satisfy the Air Arabia officials at Istanbul Sabiha airport? The card is back home with my family in Canada. They are sending me the photocopy by post now.

Qatar Airways and Emirates both REQUIRE the actual card be presented when getting the ticket. Unfortunately, there's a LOT of card fraud in this part of the world and the airlines are being prudent, not picky.

Have your family Fedex you the card. To avoid the problem in future apply for an extra card on the account.

FYI: I purchased my Emirates ticket online, checked-in online the day of the flight, went to the airport, showed my printed boarding pass and passport, checked in my bag and that was it. They did not ask to see the credit card.

I'm sure it happens that way a lot. However, they do reserve the right to see the actual card and you'd be out of luck if you didn't have one and got the "wrong" ticketing agent - just as you would for a lot of things here in the Gulf

Does it happen often? Don't know.

I have always been required to show the credit card when the tickets were purchased online, but not when I purchased through a travel agent. Have them send you the card, or see if you can cancel it and re-book it through a travel agent.
