Hello all,
I'm an American hoping to return to Poland to teach in the coming months and I have a few questions about paperwork (I know from my last run there how all-things 'immigration' change and evolve in Poland:).
The way I understand it is that setting up a business via an 'entrepreneurship' or a KB (a Limited Liability Company is unnecessary) and invoicing schools directly is one of the more practical ways to make teaching work these days. Assuming I can find a legal place of residence, get a Zameldowania, and start the KB process in short order, would I then have to apply for a residency/karta pobytu permit as well?
I know I need to have 45 days left on my 90 day tourist visa to apply for temporary residency and that very few schools are interested in processing a work permit for a non EU teacher (especially while Im abroad), so my big concern is making the paperwork come together after I arrive. Based on what Ive read in this forum getting a KB is, with some local help, workable. Just wondering if applying for residency is essential as well. I'm planning on teaching in Wroclaw...so any expierience with the immigration offices and going through this process there would be helpful as well.
Thanks. |

Please read the sticky thread regarding businesses at the top of the forum, take note of the first sentence and the link you have to follow.
Regarding any further questions, please post once you've read the info and searched the forum, there's a lot of info on here that has already been covered. |
