Just curious as to which textbooks are popular in most Asian EFL schools. Having looked at a lot of the big schools i've notice they use their own in-house materials.
I have been teaching english for three and a half years and have used both EFL texts(e.g Headway, Cutting Edge, English File, Inside Out etc...) and in-house materials. On the whole i'd say I prefer using EFL texts even though they aren't suitable for all students and they require more prep/consideration before teaching....
Anyway to cut to the chase I'm looking for a teaching job in Asia (really not that fussy about where if the conditions are right!) using EFL textbooks not in-house conversation/communication material...
So my questions to you are...
1: What EFL texts are popular where you are? and which do you prefer?
2: Which schools use them?
3: Which schools have good in-house materials?
