I am an American living in America now. I was recruited to teach a Thai woman and her daughter in England. The husband is a professor(not sure). He wants me to teach them for two years. The money seems good, but not sure if this is legit.

I tried to contact the Brittish Embassy in America, but can't get a live person.

What questions should I ask this professor about the opportunity?

Where can I go to find out if this is a scam?

Has anyone been involved or heard of this? Do you think this is legit?

I would appreciate some advice. Thanks!!

Very unlikely to be legit...though the common come-teach-my-family scam is usually located in some really dodgy location.

However, there are some highly shady characters in England in terms of human trafficking (spelling?) and I'd be very careful to check this out, particularly if you happen to be female.

Why would a reputable family seek outside of Britain for an English teacher? It's very unlikely that they would want someone with an accent and wording/speech patterns from outside Britain, if they need to speak English because they are living there.
