Are there other active teaching/learning professional organizations in the UAE apart from Tesol Arabia? How often do they meet and what are their contact details?

Perhaps I am not answering your post but
what would be nice is creating a club where teachers
(both Western AND Arabic) could meet
once a month in some restaurant in one of the Emirates.

It might be a fun way to meet people from various cultures,
do activities (like camping in the desert or
learning about some aspect of Emirati culture ??) , network
and even share teaching strategies...

I don't know how many people would be really interested in that type
of club though ?
Anyone ????
