Have been working at a middle school/primary school in Shanghai outsourced by another company. The contract I signed was from September to June. However, I have just been told my contract is terminated with a month's notice because the schools I work at want a new teacher. I asked for reasons and at first the DOS didn't even know, then after I was just told feeble excuses like the course content was the same for both grades (why do the Chinese lie so much?)
If I seek legal advice is there anything I can do regarding breach of contract? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Based on what you've said on the other thread this sounds like a personality conflict between you and the manager. It would certainly be worthwhile going over your contract with a qualified legal advisor to see if there are any clauses in there allowing them to terminate your contract with a month's notice. Most contracts in the West do include such a clause but I don't about China. |
