Is 57 too old to get a job in the United Arab Emirates with the Higher Colleges of Technology? I just spent a couple of years in Oman and I'm a better teacher than I was when I started that contract! What do you hear about age in the UAE? I'd love to hear!
Thank you |

Depending on your qualifications, 57 should still be ok. Someone recruiting for a particular HCT campus might not view you the same as s/he might someone who's 37 (or even 47, for that matter), but I've worked with several colleagues who started at around that age. But again, it depends on your qualifications.

A friend (who is now deceased) was hired by HCT at age 58.
However, that was way back in the last century. |
