Actually I have heard that it is a pretty good school. I know 3 people who have gotten their TEFL certifications there. They have an alliance with Bridge Linguatec, a good school. They have a very nice facility in San Pedro. The School was started by a guy and his wife in Peru....I have met the owners and staff and they are very nice and very qualified. PM me if you have any more questions. I have heard only good things about the operation. |

I took my TEFL Professional course there in September. The school, teacher, and staff, are great. However, they do not train you to hire you. I was in a class of about 10 people. One was hired by Maximo to replace a teacher that was leaving shortly. A couple of other classmates, who were staying in San Jose, did find work there with the assistance of the staff. So they will help you find work in San Jose. They also have a school in Cusco, Peru that I inquired about. The response was the same. They will not hire you, but they will help you find work. My advice, if you want to teach in San Jose, it would be a good school to attend. I hope this helps. |

Yeah what ofonda is describing sounds a lot more plausible than the brief description of the thread started. :) |

they started in Peru by a guy name Ken. There's a sticky on the Peru board about them. I know that they have a high turnover in Peru and because of that you can move up fast. I don't think that pay is too good. For the money up front thing, I think that's for their TEFL course. |
