I have received a few offers for teaching jobs in China.

After reading contracts, for various reasons, I have turned jobs down.

I am concerned that I may pass up a good offer.

What are some questions that I should definitely ask prospective employers?

I know this is a broad question, but any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

If I were you I would look at two things:

1) the chain of command (i.e. who do you report to?). If there's a foreign DOS, chances are that communication may be smoother and problems solved quicker. dealing with Chinese can be difficult sometimes when you don't understand their way of speaking (communication styles)

2) how long have their teachers been there. If they have teachers that have been there for multiple contracts, that's a good sign. get references and follow up with them.
