I am looking to go to China. Specifically I am looking to go to Beijing. I am a Kung Fu practitioner and have a master there I would like to meet up with. I also am bored with my current computer job at a national engineering consulting firm, where I been for over 2 years now. I graduated college 2 1/2 years ago with a BS in Env. Studies Policy and Management.
There is a Oxford Seminar TEFL class going on in my town(Syracuse) at the end of this month but from reading things online I am uncertain that it would be a wise use of my money.
Does anyone know of any one stop shop for getting TEFL certified and a position in Beijing?
Is there a TEFL certification company that grantees jobs and delivers. I was also looking into one called i-to-i that my friend used but after contacting them I am uncertain they can guarantee me a position in Beijing.
Any advice will be appreciated |

I'm sure there are plenty of TESOL courses in Beijing that offer job placement assistance, but it's probably better if you apply to places on your own.
Once you arrive for a course, start checking out ads here on Dave's and other places like tefl.com for vacancies, then apply. Make sure you state on your resume/statement of intent that you plan on graduating with your cert on xyz date.
You should have no problems finding jobs in person. |
