Hey, does anyone here have any info. or experience working with Informatics--Shanghai? Please only respond if you've worked here, or someone you know has worked here and told you of their experience. i know there's no shortage of hearsay floating around about 'things people have heard' or 'things people have read'.

Don't work for them.
Working conditions are primitive and filthy. Staff are treated like children (constant threats of being fined etc). Location is remote. Students are rude. Management are often conveniently unreachable. Teachers who have tried to move to other companies when their contracts had finished were threatened by a lawyer and the college tried to get the PSB to cancel their residence permits.
On the plus side, they will pay you. However, they will make sure you earn every last jiao and the petty-mindedness and squalor of it all make it too depressing to be worth it. |
