I have been teaching in Taiwan for two weeks now, so I don't have a lot of experience, and now my friend and I agreed to start with a new class at part-time night job.

We have no information as to how advanced they are. It is 3 kids, around 13 years of age and we teach them for 1 hour and half hours.

Any advice on what we should do for the first class?

play get to know you, ice-breaker type games. try to assess who the leaders in the class are, who the problem students are, and what things you might need specifically work on.

Tell them to sit down and be quiet. You've got to tell these little angels who the boss is.
