Does anyone know of any rotational gigs that accept female teachers?

The only rotational work that I have heard of is with oil companies... in Africa... Libya for one. But it is for male teachers only.

Many of the oil companies do rotational jobs but if you are rig or island or desert based most often it is only offered to males. However, try the Wood group in Equitorial Gunea, Bell Educational Trust in Libya and Aramco in KSA. Khazistan and the former soviet republics along with Venezuela, Thailand, Angola, Nigeria, Algeria, Baku and Oman may offer rotational to females.

But... if I was a betting woman, I'd assume that it was men only. I know that Aramco is only men... and I do believe that Bell is too.

Tom, have you encountered any women who have had one of these jobs? I've never run into one. (other than PI... which isn't quite the same thing...)

Wood Group staffs women in equal numbers with men for Equatorial Guinea rotation jobs...hiring decisions and onsite management provided by Exxon-Mobil.

Yes VS I have worked with and know women who have worked for Bell in Libya, women who I personally knew in Aramco when I worked in saudi Arabia, wood group as i applied with many others and got offered a job, Khazhstan which does employ women. The oil companies that have headquarters in the country capitals often employ women as they are not remote-location based. The more liberal the country the more jobs are non gender specific.

Dont pay too much attention to VS, she often gets it very wrong.

As the other informed posters pointed out, many countries offering rotational positions employ women. Most are western oil companies who employ many females in various profession and non-professional roles. From Petroleum Engineers to TEFL Teachers.

I was in Algeria last year and 70% of the workforce were Western and Asia ladies. Ive also spent time in Russia, Nigeria, EG, Egypt, Kaz and all employ females on rotation.....

Good luck, Try Rigzone for a possible position and then ofcourse direct hire with the oil service companies.

All the best
