In honor of President Obama's ending the illegal "war on terror" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28807952), I am retiring my "waterboarding" avatar in favor of the new one to the left (I hope). Let us hope and pray to our respective gods that the new president ends all such paranoid and counter-productive "wars". I hope my user name will serve as a caveat against abuse of people, and of power.

"sudden"? Think again. They won't send the troops home tomorrow, nor will the CIA, FBI, NSA and other agencies quit at 5pm today.

Well...c'mon...they can't. Bureaucracies can't be torn down overnight. And, most sorry to say, the most dastardly of all, the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, will NEVER be dismantled. I mean it's like legalizing dope, who would want to be identified with jeopardizing "homeland security"?..it's like legalizing DRUGS! Unfortunately...and UNGODLY, Dubya will be with us forever.

Dear Glenski,
The messes left by eight years of an inept, ignorant and destructive administration will probably take more than a day (or even a week) to clean up.
Regards,
John

You too, Love.

And if we can't fix the world, we might as well amuse ourselves and others. Wink

Hopefully this is the end of bush's rediculous word games as well.

"War on terrorism" what a joke. That would be like calling the vietnam war the "war on guerilla warfare"

maybe the usa has turned a corner and will no longer be enthusiastic about alienating the rest of the world
