| i am thinking of taking the online tesol certificate and heard mixed responces. i want to start in mexico. has anyone taken it online and got jobs with it?? thank you!!! |

| A school I worked at a few years ago hired teachers with online tefl certs. One of them turned out to be a great teacher, and he'd never even set foot in a classroom. You may want to look into what kind of schools accept online certs. As for immigration, as long as it says tefl cert on it, I don't think they mind. It probably won't get you a uni job though. |

Whether or not you can get a university job will also depend on what your other qualifications are.
With a BA in languages, and at least a year of experience, a uni job is a possibility. |
