Hi,
I'm graduating from university this year (in the UK) and considering teaching English for a year or two before going on to becoming a school teacher in England.
I was just wondering whether the economic downturn has had an impact on the number of jobs availible in Czech. Are less students paying for English teachers these days? Is the market becoming flooded by ex-bankers in need of a career change?
How easy is it to find a half decent job?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Very difficult to predict what next fall will be like economically.
The Global Downturn has definitely started to affect our school.
My guess is there will be fewer jobs offered in the Czech Republic.
But not NO jobs offered. The high turnover rate of native-speaking teachers guarantees that there will be some jobs offered. |
