Hello,
I'm a Canadian citizen currently teaching English in Japan with a 3 year working visa, and I'm looking into heading over to Australia on, what looks like will be, a working holiday visa.
I plan on hopefully returning to Japan after one year. Will my Japanese work visa still be active (it expires in 2 years)? Can anyone tell me if I'll need to cancel my Japanese visa in order to obtain a working holiday visa for Australia?
Any help would be great. Thank you. |

The two are probably mutually exclusive. Leave Japan and want to return, you'd better buy a reentry permit. It's good for the duration of your visa. Without it, you have to start over again with the visa process here. |

That's good news. Thanks!
I have a multiple re-entry permit now, so I'm covered. |
