Ok, this is my situation: I'm a 45 year old male. I have a BA in Political Science. I have some experience teaching: teaching Spanish in the states for 1.5 years, and teaching ESL in Buenos Aires for about a year. I do not have an ed. background nor do I have a tesol or celta cert.
I would like to go to graduate school this july, but I have nothing saved. Even with loans and possibly a scholarship I won't have anything to get me through the year of my MA in Education. I thought maybe teaching abroad I could save enough in a year or year and a half to go to graduate school.
I have been researching Taiwan and Korea, and from what people say on this site, Taiwan is preferable. However, since my economic plight is not improving, I am now open to working in whichever country I will be able to save the most (with the exception of the Middle East).
Would I save more in Japan than either Korea or Taiwan? BTW my other option is to go into rural Alaska, teach in the Bush, and get my MA at the same time. I am also seriously considering this now since in one year I will be paid, get student loans, and get my MA.
Any advice will be most appreciated.

Depends on how you live. Japan and taiwan have high start up costs. Korea's exchange rate is going down the tubes. Might be best off going to Alaska.

Naturegirl123, you mean staying in Alaska. I'm already here. But it's -40; real, real, cold.
