Where isn't it too hard to find an English teaching job, being a non native English speaker with only a TEFL certificate, but no degree ? I know about some countries in Asia, but what about the rest of the world, like South America or Africa ? |

Hi adw.
There are lots of places where you can teach without a BA and these are countries where the BA isn't required for the visa process.
Generally, Africa is a very difficult place to find work unless you are with a voluntary organization but N.Africa is always an option and in particular Morocco and Egypt.
I lived in Cairo for a while and can recommend it.
Egypt is a Muslim country though so pls do your research before jumping on the next plane to Heliopolis
Central and Eastern Europe are great options and especially the emerging markets of Ukraine and ex-Jugoslavia. Central European countries which now form the 'New' Europe segment of the continent (such as Czech Republic), are also great options.
S.America is a gem.
I have traveled the continent a few times and recently in December I flew into Rio and then out of Bogota - traveling over land through Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia (plane from Quito to Cartagena and then bus to Bogota). Probably the easiest place to pick up decent-ish paid work on the continent is either BA's or Rio. A degree is preferred but not essential.
Generally Asia is a no-go if you don't hold a BA and unless you don't mind teaching illegally (which ISN'T recommended).
Hope it helps!
