Alrighty, I am trying to get things straight in my head.. and as the title says, I need to figure out the ups and downs of both places. Anything you say will be appreciated!! Have fun with it ^__________^ Climate? Culture? Anything!
As for describing me, I'm not big on having to live in a big city. Actually, being able to work on my proficiency so that I can do testing during the 2 years I stay in Japan is my biggest goal, so I would prefer a place that sticks to using Japanese. I'm pretty laid back... not a big big party-gal (besides, I have a friend in Yokohama that I could bug if I wanna have fun LOL). I'm gonna stick out like a sore thumb being a 6ft lady-girl, even though I'm an Asian mix LOL. I've been to Japan before, focusing my visits to Tokyo, Kyoto, Tochigi, and Saitama. I hope thats enough info to know me O_o()
Thank you!

I've never been to Morioka but I lived in Fuji city for about 5 months. It is, in a word, hideous! It is one of the most polluted cities in Japan and has the highest rate of leukemia. The worst aspect of Fuji city is that it is the home of Japan's paper industry. There are something like 300 paper factories there and the smoke that billows out really stinks!! I'm not exaggerating either!

The people in Fuji City are very friendly and you can get around easily by bicycle but that's all you can say about it.
Is your job offer at BECS by any chance??
To sum up... Don't do it!! |

I also hear very bad things about Fuji city and wouldn't want to live somewhere with even one paper mill nearby- they are known to be pretty toxic and smelly. |

well Morioka gets snow in the winter, and can get chilly.
The skiing and hiking must be good.
Iwate is the largest prefecture in the country. |
