I haven't been on here in a long time - I wonder if anyone still remembers me? I was in Japan from 2002-2005. I have been teaching English and taking homestays in Vancouver fro the last few years and my husband and I just had our first child almost 2 years ago. I have a favour to ask of my old friends on Dave's. I am now taking my MBA degree in general business, and I have to take a class called Managing Information Systems. It is really interesting, but our class project will be the death of me. We had to post a video to you tube and are actually being graded on how many hits it gets!!! There are a few ways you can help: 1. View my video, rate it , and comment on it on Youtube (see link) 2. Pass it along to your friends to do same 3. If you have any knowledge that you think will help, please let me know!!! (THis is not my strong suit and I'll need all the help I can get!)

In return, perhaps you can have your students send me some videos on youtube and I can answer them with video responses? Any other thoughts on how I could reciprocate and help your students for help with my class project? I am so new to this stuff that I am sort of relying on the bank of good karma to get me through.

Cheers.

C

Hey there! I remember you from the Japan forum. Welcome back! (even if it's just for a short visit...)

I'll take a look when I get home and have semi-reliable internet access. My office connection is horrible.

That's easy. If you're being graded simply on how many hits your video gets rather than it's content then you just need to give it a provocative or pornographic name. Who's the prof.--a part-time spamster?

By the way, Celeste, the link you provided just brings up a list of videos. What's the video's name?

PS: I'm from Vancouver. How's the ESL teaching market there now? Been thinking of returning there this fall
