Okay, thought I'd take the plunge and post here.

Now been in China for 4 years, and have lived in a couple of great HOLES (am in one right now). I have never worked in a big city, but I really would like to next academic year. I'm sick and tired of having NOTHING out here to do, would really like some Western 'indulgences' but also a decent salary. I don't drink/ smoke etc (my most insatiable craving is GOOD coffee) and I can live fairly simply. Oh yeah, Aussie passport, very neutral accent, BA but no TESOL/ CELTA certs etc. Am almost finished an MA (Applied Linguistics) however.

The last 3 years I have worked in the deep north, ice and snow in both Gansu and Shaanxi. Now I'm in Jiangxi and really loving the climate, so I would prefer to stay south.

If anyone knows of any DECENT places who will be looking for a new teacher EXPERIENCED in CHina, I would love it hear about it!

I am mainly only looking at schools/ universities (only ever worked in unis here, and I don't trust private language schools with a 10 foot pole)- at LEAST 6000/mth salary, AND will increase it in the following year (being renewed- I will finish my Masters at the end of this year so I expect my pay to rise achieving this)...AND some freedom to do tutoring for extra money.

I have already received 1 offer, but would like to see what else may be available as well.
