Hi there,
I have a phone interview with Westgate coming up, and have been hearing mixed things about them on this board. The pay sounds pretty decent, and I'm LOOKING for a short-term 3 month contract.
The pay is 275000 yen per month. Could I get more if I went with another company? Are there places that would be willing to offer a May to July contract with better accommodations and pay? Any info you guys can provide would be very much appreciated! |

You should really post this in the Japan forum. Since I'm from there, here's the scoop.
Westgate is one of the rare outfits that offers anything less than a 1-year contract with visa sponsorship.
Their salaries are fairly high end compared to the rest of the entry-level market. Don't expect more, especially for such short-term work. You may find it, but I wouldn't count on it. |

Thanks. I just had my interview and they're apparently pretty stocked already and can only put me on the backup teacher list. :-\ Kind of disappointed. I'll head over to the Japan forum... |
