I've recently thought about teaching english in costa rica and i'm just hoping somebody can help me with a question, and that is do I need a college diploma to get a teaching job or will an esl certificate be good enough. |

Hi hubbardahead and welcome to the forums. Take a couple of hours, lots of coffee and some snacks - sit down and read through this forum, it's a gold mine of information.
Short answer to your question, no, you don't need a college or university diploma to teach, but it helps a lot. ESL certificate is good, experience is better, and whether you are native or not also makes a big difference (depending on your accent). |
