I have a 4000 yen revenue stamp that I bought for a new visa I no longer need.
Is there anyway I can return it? I'm pretty sure not.
If not...does anyone near Yokosuka/Yokohama need a 4000 yen revenue stamp? I'll sell it for 2500! Let's do this! |

You have a couple options:
a) You can exchange the stamp at the post office for other denominations totaling ¥4000. It will cost ¥5 yen to exchange a stamp (but this is only useful if you have need for a revenue stamp, of course)
b) You can take a (unused, not stuck to anything) revenue stamp to a nearby ticket shop. They will normally give you 90~95% of the value of the stamp
c) You can take a (accidentally stuck onto something in error) revenue stamp to you local tax office, fill in a few forms, wait two months, and have the full value of the stamp returned to your bank account.
So... not sure I'd sell it for 2,500 |
