For those intending to take their wives to China a cautionary note.
Yesterday I, confidently, presented all my documents to the Chinese embassy in Bangkok. Almost immediately the young lady behind the perspex panel asked me, "Where's your wife's medical papers?"
So a five hour trip back home, make an appointment for my wife to have a medical today, and return to Bangkok tomorrow!! |

i spent a year in thailand, and found thai doctors/clinics can play pretty loose with the regulations/requirements of medicals. meaning its easy to get what you need just by showing up and paying.
any reason why you had to go all the way back to (cha-am?) home to get the medical done? is it because your wife is thai? |

Yes, she's Thai and was home looking after the children in Cha-Am.
Impossible to do anything else as originals are mandatory. |
