I've bought my plane ticket. No job, but I'm trying to stay optimistic. I've got enough cash on hand like everyone recommended. Now i've been trying to find a guest house.
However, trying to set up interviews beforehand has been difficult. Replies have stated they want me in the country first or I haven't gotten replies at all.
Worrying.
Any words of encouragement? |

Yes, just keep trying. From now to April 1st you will see more job ads than ever during the year.
Of course, competition does, too.
See it the way the employer does. If you don't have housing lined up yet, they may not believe you are coming. Still, trying to get those interviews lined up is what most of us recommend. Good luck. |

Yeah, good luck. Ive been pretty frustrated by the job search from abroad and am thinking about doing the same thing, although without the monetary cushion. If you search guest house on these forums you will find plenty of threads with info, although I have been wondering myself how easy it will be to get a room at a decent one in Tokyo during March and April. |
