Looking through my diary I see that I got mine on Feb 7th last year. Just curious if they've put them out at the same time. Why the heck does it take so long anyways? I mean they're all scantron aren't they? Why does it take two and a half months to get the results back? Japanese TOEIC students get their results back in 2 or 3 weeks.

I didn't think JLPT overseas results were out until late Feb/March? I believe that all of the tests are sent to Tokyo to be graded and then sent back.

Anyway, they should be here soon enough, right?

it should be this week.
If it doesn't come you need to contact them after a certain date but I don't know what date that is.

Yeah, they should be mailed from Tokyo.

Congratulations! Very Happy Great score, too.

Are you going to "challenge" level 2 this year, or wait to take the new level 3 next year? The current gap between 3 and 2 is pretty huge, so you would have to get started on the studying right away if you want to take it this year...

I've been studying for the past couple of weeks. I'll probably give 2 a shot even though I won't have a hope in hell. I'm still trying to consolidate what I've learned so far!

When is the next test?

I heard that it would be in July or August in addition to the December test.

So, there are essentially 2 tests per year now.

Level 1 and 2 will be held in July this year as well as December (in Japan and a few Asian countries only). From next year I believe all 5 new levels will be held twice a year, but I'm not 100% sure on that so don't quote me. Wink
