Now that I am gone from China I can say that this is the worst school that I have ever worked with.

The managers at this Korean school were savage beasts and ran the place like a military boot camp.
'
They beat the students with plastic poles. I saw it.

They screwed me out of my last pay.

They overwork you to death.

Check the old postings for more.

This place is horrid and did not get their international school licence. They are no more than a glorified esl school.

It is nice to not be afraid of them anymore.

Dear James,

Thank you very much for the warning. I seemed to have heard this before on this Board, too.

All the best, wherever you are now.

This is a favorite Korean trick that gets done to foreign workers in Korea (Chinese ). They fire the person on the last month and don't have to pay their airfair or any bonuses . It happens here too with the Chinese . In Korea the Catholic Immigrations Services get the money from the people because they go to the government and ask them to pay for deportation. The Korean police get involved and force payment .

They fired me after 8 of 12 and watched me. they watched another 3 teachers too that got fired or quit.

they had spied coming out of everywhere.

those who work there now are complacent to the fact they are being watched.

I have a very good friend that was in-charge of recruiting FT's for Korean schools in Beijing.

She was told to do many unethical things to try to get the FT's to sign contracts.

After 1 year she finally had enough and left, she was Korean too.

Her horror stories about the Korean style schools in China (they can bypass laws/regulations) made me realize I would never seriously consider working under Korean management/school.

Hello everybody!
I used to be a teacher in QTI international school. If you consider working for them there is a thing that you should know.THEY DON'T PAY SALARIES.We've been waiting since September, they owe teachers a lot of money and we get only promises. This school is not reliable!!!!!

If they hadn't paid me in September, I would've left in September. I can accept a delay in paying salaries. A delay means a few days, maximum a week. Why would anyone stay 5 months - 6 months longer. Rolling Eyes

I would come to China to get away from Korea and Koreans. No way I would work for them. Korean companies are not trustworthy.

Doesn't global crossroads and Jeff Sya place teachers at this school? I think this school is one of their best customers.

I personally stayed because of a few reasons, there was a delay in pay, but they always paid.I felt sorry for my students. I regret staying there for so long Sad ....The problem is how to get the money, the school is still operating, though the petition was filed to the city government and foreign affairs office.
