				| I currently have National Health Insurance, but I recently got hired by a company that will put me under Social Insurance.
How do I switch to Social from National? Or is it some automatic process? Just curious, since I don't really want to be paying for both.

				| I assume you mean you're on Kokumin Kenko Hoken and your new company wants to put you on Shakai Hoken.
In that case, once you receive the Shakai Hoken card from your company, take it down to the city hall/ward office (where you signed up for Kokumin Kenko Hoken) with your card and payment book, and they'll take you out of it.

				| Yes, that's what I meant. Sounds pretty simple which is nice.

 Thanks ripslyme.

				| No problem Yeah, compared with other paperwork type things here in Japan, this is a very quick and easy matter.
