You can get a flat in SG for as little as S$1200, but it will likely be a bit far from an MRT station and either very small or in an older (and likely high-rise) government housing estate. Instead, count on at least S$1500 to $2000 for a flat -- as small as a studio or perhaps a 1 BR -- that is more convenient and livable. There are, however, always exceptions.
Expats are frequently taken advantage of in the SG housing market. |
