Hows it going? I'm hoping to go to Vietnam in March, and just found out I have to get a visa. Does anyone know the opening hours/cost/requirements for the Embassy in Tokyo? They don't seem to have a website.
Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately US citizens can get the visa online, so I'm not too sure, but:
Embassy of Vietnam in Tokyo, Japan
50-11 Moto Yoyogi-Cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 151, Japan.
City: Tokyo
Phone: (3) 34663311/3/5. .
Fax: (3) 34663312, 34663391.
Email: [email protected]
I'd email or call and ask. I tried to double-check to see if that email really only has one "s"; maybe send it to both spellings. Hope that helps |

I'm going in May and recently contacted the embassy to ask about Visa information.
They're open from 9-12 in the morning and 2-5 in the afternoon. They're closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Vietnamese/Japanese national holidays.
From the info they send, you can either get the visa by mail or at the embassy. You'll need your original passport, a passport-size photo, the visa application (they can email it to you), visa fee, and address/telephone in Japan. They don't specify what the fee is, but a friend who got one last year said it was around $40 for a one time entry visa. My friend went to the embassy and said it only took about 15min. to get the visa. |

Thanks for your replies. I think I've got it sorted - I rang them up and they faxed over some dodgy looking form I had to fill in. It was a little unprofessional but I think it should be okay. |
