So, I have a friend who is going to Taipei in May for two weeks to visit her family, and she invited me to come with her. I am planning on making reservations within the next few days to get the best price.
I plan on researching schools and sending resumes to them in the next few weeks and letting them know I will be there to interview in May.
I called about visas, and they said if I'm going for less than a month I don't need a visa, but what if I find a job and (hopefully) get hired on the spot? There is a possibility that I could just stay there and get my things shipped to Taiwan. Should I get a tourist visa just to hold me over until the regular visa goes through?
Does it happen that people are hired on the spot, or do they give you a date in the near future when you can start?
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on where to start?
Thanks! |
