After doing the TEFL thing for 6 years with no degree but a spankingly good TEFL cert, I have reached the point wear I know that to get the best jobs in need a degree but I can't return to the UK to get a degree (sucks huh).
I was thinking of doing a degree and working opart-time in South East Asia.
Thailand, Phillipines and Cambodia seem okish choices as I have lived in Thailand for years but it is a bit expensive in BKK now and I have been to cammy a dozen times but only for weekends.
I like the idea of studying Anthropology, working part time and getting that degree.
Do you think it is possible?
Is the degree worth shit?
Am I living in a dream?

sure its possible tudo---anthropology is a good choice too since you re already up on the subject from where u live. im doing anthropolgy nw and its good. lots of unis do distance learning, i m at athabasca ,,, the only thing i would query is finding a quiet place to study in southe east asia where noise abounds.....if you are interested, look up key terms like andragogy, adult education and so on, just to get used to the idea of studyingas as an adult, a different kettle of fish to what you may be used to--cheers and good luck  |
