Greetings. I have signed a contract with a vocational school in Jeddah, KSA and they have applied for my work visa and received the paperwork back from the immigration authorities and sent it to my address in the USA. I have not been able to examine it as I am in China at this time.
I understand that one of the steps will be verifying my degree through the Saudi Cultural Mission in Washington, DC.
The difficulty I believe I will encounter is due to the fact that the state commissioned college I graduated from in California has ceased operations. I do have one set of sealed transcripts, but they are more than 90 days old (the application guidelines state the transcripts should be no more than 90 days old), and they also request a phone number to get in touch with the school's registrar office. Obviously these requirements cannot be met. So, what I am asking is has anyone ever heard of someone in this position before and how did they deal with it?
I am also wondering how strict they are on following all the rules on application for visa as the school has already obtained authorization and paperwork from the Saudi government that seems to have issued me a work visa. The school has some importance I believe, as it is owned by the bin laden (sp?) group.
Any information appreciated. Thanks. |
