I will soon be applying for a job teaching English at in the middle east. I am wondering how do they conduct interviews? is it a phone interview? |

Some will offer you a job with no interview. That makes you feel really special. Most just do a phone interview. Some of those will be conference calls with two or more people on the other end. Some will call you on Skype, so you will have to have an account. Some want a video conference on Skype or Windows Live Messenger. Some ask you to go to a video-conferencing center, at your expense or theirs. Some want you to meet them at the next TESOL conference. Some will fly you in for the interview. Some want you to fly yourself in. Some offer to reimburse your expenses. A lot of those will renege if you don't get the job, maybe even if you do. |

The reputable employers will pay for all interview costs up front. I wouldn't bother with those that don't offer to do so. |
