I don't think anyone really knows what your talking about.
"Nastiness" can be defined in many ways.
It all depends on your personal opinion, unless you give us a definition and than maybe we can relate to it.

However, to get the ball rolling:

S: (n) cattiness, bitchiness, spite, spitefulness, nastiness (malevolence by virtue of being malicious or spiteful or nasty)
S: (n) nastiness (the quality of being unpleasant) "I flinched at the nastiness of his wound"
noun
A desire to harm others or to see others suffer: despitefulness, ill will, malevolence, malice, maliciousness, malignancy, malignity, meanness, poisonousness, spite, spitefulness, venomousness, viciousness.

I think the OP was referring to a certain romantic orientation that is common in prisons and highly restrictive countries...from another thread whose links were pulled. |

Or it could be the public beaches in the Eastern Province... |

We, in the Wild Wild West hear that the WHOLE coastline on the East is well clean! They surely can't be as bad the beaches in Jeddah (barring Obhur)! After all, it is the zibala (dustbin) of Saudi Arabia!! |

Some guy on the other thread was talking about some type of "nastiness" going on but he wasn't too sure if he was allowed to talk about it on the message board.
I just had to clear things up.

Dear Sheik Abdullah,
Much as I appreciate your intent, I don't think a whole lot has been cleared up.

For my part, you have me wondering what kind of beach nastiness you're talking about. Somebody recently claimed the beaches of Khobar were fantastic or something. Was that sarcasm? Wikipedia claims Jeddah has strict laws protecting the environment. Sure, any hotel beach will be policed for litter, but for public or relatively remote beaches, is there any difference in the amount of litter you find in the Jeddah vs. Khobar areas? |

I was not being sarcastic. I have heard that the corniche in co-bar is a darn sight cleaner than J-town. How about Dammam? Jubail?
Obhur (north Jeddah) is more or less private beaches. Is Half Moon Beach the same?
I hear the South Corniche in Jeddah is quiet and clean, but VERY (marrrrrrrrrrrrrra) off the beaten track. Going northwards, they Thuwal is also not too bad. |

Jeddah needs a couple of years for the ongoing bridges and tunnels to finish. Till then, 'nasty streets' is a real nightmare. Once done, I guess it might turn to be a more favorable destination.
Half moon is a public beach and gets crowded during the day-off, but in Ubhur beach ( north Jeddah) you can get some Western-like private beaches ( Isteraha). |
