Hello out there!

I just moved here this week and Im interested in getting a bike. I know that they are fairly inexpensive to buy brand new, however I was wondering if there is anyone out there who lives somewhat near me that would sell me there bike. Perhaps one of you are leaving soon and would like to unload it? Im in Higashi Tokyo, on the Tozai line, specifically at the Myoden stop.

Thank you all and I hope you are enjoying this spring-like weather!

Spring-like weather? Shocked Friday was the coldest day so far this winter, and the weekend hasn't been a lot warmer. You must be from a pretty cold place! Smile Two weeks ago it was spring-like- it reached 25 degrees in Tokyo one day.

Sorry to deviate a bit fromt the original topic, but speaking of bikes, I am wondering if there are any decent places to ride around bigger cities like Tokyo, Osaka, or Nagoya... I am going there in or around June and I am going to bring my road bike. I want to find a place/places to train and ride long distances.... When I lived in Taiwan, amazingly, there were alot of places to ride because the roads are designed to be shared with scooters... Even South Korean has some places (although not as good as Taiwan). Anyone got the scoop on Japan, in general?

There's amazing cycling around Kobe. Just hit the mountain roads and you can ride through nice scenery, relatively peaceful roads for long distances.
There's great mountain biking there too.
