Hi,
Please help. The chinese consulate will not answer thier
phone !!
I will go to China to teach English. Some crooked English
school misled me and told me to get an L Visa (tourist)
and they will change it to a Z (work) when I get there.
I did this. Then I was informed this is dangerous !!
Now, I told that school I am not taking this positon. This
was a month ago.
I have an L visa in my passport to China. Now, I really want
to do this the right way. I will apply for my Z visa for a new school
prior to leaving the country . (I know duh)..
Now, will the consulate give me a hard time since I just
got an L visa a month ago? How about when I arrive
to China; will they be like "Hey , you have an L and a Z?
Thank you |

Sorry, but didnt u ask this question in a post just made a few weeks ago......
I think it would be interesting to see now ..... what would happen if you go down with a L visa in the passport bringing along an invitation letter...
Have you got anyone at the school you received the job op from who can tell you if they came on a L or not ... and your sure that they are having a go at ya and really cannot convert the L to a Z then you may have to wait this one out... for a period of time... I dont think anyone can tell you what will happen and if they will issue a z visa when an L has already been issued....perhaps you could first go to the embsy/consl and have them 86 the L visa.. or just wait til the L visa is out of date.... |
