| In America it's illegal to discriminate because of a person's disability, but I know a lot of the world isn't like this. I'm graduating University in May and want to spend a year abroad teaching English. I'm not in a wheelchair, got all my limbs, but I walk with a limp and am completely incontinent, wear disposable diapers. Which countries would this not be a problem in and which are the countries to avoid? Also, I'm wondering, and this might be a stupid question, would I be able to find diapers in my size in the Asian countries? I'm five foot eleven, one hundred eighty pounds. |

| I had a friend in Prague with similar problems, thanks to a football injury. Got along fine there. |

Hey Matt,
how about if you just don't tell anyone! What happens in your pants stays in your pants. |

I'll second that- your bathroom situations are yours and yours alone.
But as to whether you can get what you need...no idea. I think you'll need to get someone there on the ground in your country of choice to look into that.
I can say that adult incontinence products seem to be available in Ecuador, and I saw something that looked the same (couldn't read the label) in Korea.
About sizes...that's where you're going to need somebody there on the ground to look into it.
Best,
Justin |

Hey Matt,
contact the largest manufacturer on the planet of this particular product. Tell them that you are a loyal customer and explain the situation. I am sure that they will be more than helpful. Push through until you talk to someone who REALLY knows the answer to your questions. I would go so far as to ask for the exact names of the stores that sell in the city that you are going to be in.
If they are not supplying to that country they will know who their competition is. Ask them who to buy from and them call them.
Keep pushing past all people who don't have an answer until you find the money man.
There is zero reason why you cannot have great answers to these questions before you hit the road. |
