|

So here I go again about Visa`s. I need to change my Designated Activities visa over to a `Instructors Visa`. They claim to take 1 to 3 months and the job starts April 15, 2009.
Does anyone have any experience with this process and can provide any recommendations of offices here in the Kanto prefecture
that are faster than others with this process? Considering that ALL the necessary documents accept for an ARC is submitted? Legally, we have 90 days to get one don`t we?
Any advice at all from those of you who are getting yours now as we speak for April 2009? Your real recent experience with the Bureau would be helpful to all since everyone`s experience is unique. Line ups? Interaction with Foreign speaking staff? Compliments or whatever?
This post might get a lot of reads since so many Interac people are waiting to get started up..... anyone?
Thanks |

Immigration officers are government bureaucrats who cannot give you a fixed day that you'll get the visa. Live with that concept.
It may take 1 or 3 months, or it may take 2 weeks. The most you and Interac can do is have Interac politely request that the process be hastened. Nothing more.
Some people say that once your application has been stamped into your passport, you can technically work on it. I'd keep very quiet about that in immigration's offices, but consider it a fallback.
Oh, and it's "except", not "accept". |
