|
|
ive heard from a well-placed source that the turkish government is in the process of passing a law that stops people from entering turkey on a 'visa run', ie popping in and out repeatedly every three months. this law is supposed to come into effect in january.
so our language schools have to get everyone a residency permit or the illegals are stuffed!! can anyone confirm if they have heard any similar rumours? apparently the emniyet in istanbul has been packed recently, meaning im not the only one who has heard this..!! |

I also did a check at Turkey's consulate web site in the U.S. and there is nothing there about this either. |

| These rumours seem to pop up every year or so, and I'm sure there's nothing in it. Besides, the emniyet's always packed ! |

| I wouldn't be surprised if that happened - it seems they're toughening stuff up with this economic crunch. |
