Greetings Group:
I have been reading the boards here for awhile and appreciate all the good info.
I will be completing a CELTA in June in Playa del Carmen, and would like to begin seeking work in a language school for Sept - Dec, maybe in the Guadalajara area. I only want short-term work because I hope to begin a certification program here in the states no later than February 2010.
I will have time before June to gather apostilles here in the states, and I will have July and August available to wait for the FM3 process to be completed.
My question is: is it worth it to get the FM3 for 4 months of work? I don't want to be working illegally, but the visa process is something of a hassle. I could come back to the states in July and re-enter in late August with a new tourist visa that could last me the duration of my time in Mexico. |

It sounds like you pretty much answered your own question. It's not really worth getting a FM-3 for 4 months of work. If you decide you are going to stay in Mexico long-term, then a FM-3 is a good idea.
Good luck! |
