I've been to that stop on the Joban line a couple of times. There's pretty much everything you need I think. Restaurants, shops, department stores, I think a yodabashi or bikka camera, etc. etc. Not too far from Tokyo, either. About 30 minutes or so. I remember checking out the rent of places while I was there and it was much cheaper than where I live in Tokyo. Can't remember exact prices, but I was pretty jealous. All in all, a pretty good placement, man. Live it up. Razz

You'll also be able to go and watch the mighty Kashiwa Reysol play football if you were so inclined.

I lived not to far from Kashiwa, in Matsudo. It has got everything you need as the previous poster mentioned, including many Izakayas. I think there was even an Irish bar? That indicates the size of it. Not massive, but big enough to support an Irish bar!
